2.t因为没有前文，电影里母亲Linda第一句台词很突兀。Adam的父母经常吵架，每次吵完Linda就会对Adam说，”Don't ever put your happiness in someone else's hands. They'll drop it. They'll drop it every time.” 也因为Linda和Adam父亲吵架，她开车去Abel家打算寻醉，结果被在Abel家喝醉的Lucy在路上迎头相撞，Linda下身瘫痪。
6.tFuck you Francis 的故事没有很多人知道，但Adam在她谷仓待了一晚后发现原来她父亲侵犯她，母亲又视而不见，有一天她受够了才把他们杀死，以后自插腹部死去。Adam亲眼见到事情的发生后问Jamie为什么她要这样做，Jamie就回答，”This is her thing.”。导演大概是想表示鬼魂会一直重复自己的死法(因为Fuck you Francis每天都重演杀父母的一幕)，所以电影里有三段Adam在桥边找到Jamie衣服，但事实上在原著里根本就没有这场景。
7.t鬼魂在人间停留过多时间就会变成Man with no skin，他们需要Words来"生存"。所以电影里Jamie才会叫Adam给他一些字。

I held on to him, like I held him in the grave, like I held him in my arms when he came to me. He grabbed my arms and shoulders, pinching. He shook his head. “I don’t want to,” he said. “You don’t understand.” “I can’t keep you here any longer.” I said. “I can’t give you what you need.” “But what about him?” he said. He spoke into the hollow of my throat, still clutching. “Who?” “The one who did it!” “Who is he?” “It isn’t fair. He isn’t dead! Why did he do it? Why did he take it from me?” “Who is he?” Jamie pulled back, wiping at his tearless eyes with the backs of his hands. “I can’t remember. It’s a haze now.” “You have to remember.” But he only shook his head and looked down at the running shoes I’d given him. “It’s too late,” he said. “I burned that memory. It was the first one to go.”
